Maths Memory has been designed for revision purposes only. Each video is broken down in three clear stages to help you achieve this and to ultimately create your set of revision cards.
Back to Basics – Covers the fundamentals, to help you get started. We show you how to CREATE your revision cards at this stage.
Core – Covers Exam style questions. We continue to show you how to CREATE your revision cards at this stage.
Let’s Do It ! – Covers Exam style questions which allow you to APPLY your OWN revision cards to the exam questions.
Our key feature involves the creation and summarising of KEY concepts covered in our videos, with REVISION CARDS. We help you design and CREATE your OWN revision cards, in a step by step process throughout the revision videos. Each lesson is uniquely led by our expert GCSE tutor, who highlights key information needed on that lesson.
Revision cards are created by the pupil only after they have experienced and attempted that concept in the video. In this way, the pupil is writing from their own experience, rather than abstract learning.
The student can then APPLY the concepts learnt from their revision cards to attempt exam style questions.
Our Trial videos are offered for both Foundation* and Higher courses. They each last for one week only and delivered in the same style and structure as our full courses.
After completion, you can take the opportunity to purchase the full course or simply end the trial. For more information, make an enquiry at contact@mathsmemory.co.uk
Maths Memory has been designed to cover the majority of all the following boards: Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC, IGCSE. We accept that there are topics that will not be covered entirely by our lessons, but these would be in a minority.
We do not offer an automated marking scheme throughout the course. Instead Maths Memory recommends a proactive approach to learning, where the pupil reviews the expert led tutor explanations in the revision videos.
Once the student has applied their knowledge on their revision cards to exam style questions, they should be able to self assess themselves on that particular lesson. This is done on their revision planner, once a lesson has been completed.
No. Maths Memory is only a revision tool used to complement and enhance the existing knowledge you should already have in your final year in Maths. We assume you already have a basic understanding of the core elements, when you commence either course.
No, it is not necessary, but we recommend you do. The revision planner has been designed specifically to give you a daily structure and time frame towards the GCSE exams, in gradual order of complexity of lessons. Once purchased, you will have access to all lessons in your course, so it is possible for the student to individually prioritise and choose lessons as and when they want to revise them.
Not at all.The revision cards only act as a template and highlight key important areas of each topic. The student should always summarise their own experience of what works for them. That’s why each students should create a different unique revision card that best suits them.
Yes! This is the amazing part. You can learn at your most convenient time and playback the videos continuously to make sure you have fully understood the questions and explanations.
